09:51 pm - Why oh why did I ever stop working out?
I am exhausted, some of my muscles have been overworked yet I feel tremendously happy. Like 10,000 times happier than I ever felt since I've taken up swimming again.
Ten years ago, I was a total jock playing every sports you can imagine. I was in the track and field team, swimming team and netball team. I won numerous awards here and there in school competitions but after three years of intense workouts, pain and goddamn disbelief that I still had to workout and fast during Ramadan, I said fuck it.
Oh yeah, and the whole moving to Los Angeles thing was another excuse.

11:14 pm - I am in love..
with a television show.
In my house, my mother and father are obsessed with Korean dramas. I personally despise them because I find the acting lack-luster, the actors and actresses are so goddamn annoying and the plot so juvenile that it is very rare that I'll sit down and enjoy it. Now my mother is obsessed with the "Iron Empress" but I only started watching it when I realized that the queen's son was having an homosexual affair with his courier. Lol.
Oh but there is a gem out there that's playing on one of the HDTV channels and it's a Chinese/Mongolian epic drama based on the life of Genghis Khan and goddam is it good. For one thing, the action is really fast so if you miss one episode, you miss one crucial point of the Khan's life. Everyday I sit in front of that telly trying not to miss anything and am just amazed at the whole show, from production to costumes. The only bad thing is that I'm not sure if the animals on set are really harmed, but there were two scenes where an animal was getting sacrificed and it looked hella real. Boo.
What happened to the Chinese, man?? 10 years ago, they were everywhere with their shows and actors and singers being up in our faces. They had some really good dramas too..it's a damn shame, they needs to come back!

Another friggin death. Jeez, what the hell is going on with the reaper?
Goodbye Patrick Swayze. I will always remember you as that distinct drag queen on "To Wong Fo". Thanks to you, my seven year old self started on her path to embrace the beautiful, wonderful world of trannies and shemales.
One other suck: Going back to school, even for fun is a drag, especially when attending a community college. Damn all these retarded little freshmen who can't get over the fact that they just left high school and they bring their juvenile shenanigans in the class room thereby interupting people who attend class because they want to gain some knowledge. Those kids need to be shot. And stomped on.
Seriously, the U.S. needs to implement a rule or something where everybody has to take a college entrance exam testing students on their maturity level as well as their intelligence level, and all the dumbasses would eventually be shipped to Alaska or Idaho. In cattle trucks. >:(

Hey guys,
Would you happen to know of any yaoi or shonen-ai mangas where the lead character (preferably the uke) is in search for love and/or to be in a relationship? I've been reading all these yaoi mangas and usually it's nothing but pages filled with sex scenes and no plot to be found. What I want is a good multi-volume yaoi manga that has a plot, likeable characters and nice art that won't me gag (Minami Haruka is a no-no).
If the uke is the misfit type, that's a huge plus in my books, because the Muriel (from Muriel's Wedding) types makes my knees go weak. Who doesn't love a main character that has flaws like we do in real life, whether they think they're not pretty enough, has weight issues, pimple issues, family issues, the list can go on and on, lol.
Or if it's the seme that's looking for love and he has a whole cast of ukes to choose from (ala Orange Road or Ranma) that would be awesome.

See, this is what I do when I'm bored off my ass and don't feel like waking up early for work. I google up some 80's music or videos and just oggle the hot bods that used to be.
Warnings: Some cheezy-ass dancing (wtf is up with the choreography??) and fashion. Oh yeah, and big hair. But who cares when you're looking at all the beautiful people sexxing it up.
Fun facts:
1. The first black dude you see changed his gender a few years later. Mrowr.
2. That big, buff Aryan white guy in the beginning? That's my babeh daddy.
3. Glasses boy might be the hottest dude in the video. Too bad we don't see much of him in it.
4. Guy leering at Sheena looks like a scruffy pervert with a mixture of Al Bundy. Hm..now that I think about it, that's pretty sexy.
5. Is that the same saxophonist from "The Lost Boys"? Who the fuck knows and cares. WTF is up with the 80's obsession with the saxophone?? Almost every bloody 80's song out there incorporates saxophonic music.
Loved Sheena's "For Your Eyes Only" song too but cannot figure out which James Bond theme song is my fave since "Goldeneye" was my childhood favorite. Tina Turner was (and probably still is) a foxy lady! Any other James Bond faves?

Every friggin' day, there will be some asshat who can't get over the fact that he is DEAD and will either write a post saying how much they miss him, how sad and depressed they are because he was their hero and they can't function normally any more and want to kill themselves or how now one understands them because they loved him.
Urgh. People, get a fucking life! Don't blame your manic depressive disorders on this guy 'cos for you to get all bent out of shape means that you have mucho, mucho problems to begin with..
In other news, I have an infected ingrown hair on my leg and it hurts like the dickens. Goddam expensive health insurance that I had to let go because of my poor ex-college student status!!

10:10 pm - Sleezy motel, sleezy city
Don't get me wrong, I had a great time at Vegas but damn, they're actually getting better at conning people.
My friend and I booked a room for two nights at the Motel 6 on Tropicana Avenue which was situated right next to the MGM Grand. I've stayed at other Motel 6 locations and found their rooms to be clean and inexpensive but this Vegas Motel 6 building was goddam disgusting and ghetto. Granted that we did pay around $50 bucks per night on a weekend, maybe I should have expected it?
The first room that we checked in, I had to use the bathroom but what I saw was enough to make me puke out my dinner. There was piss and pubic hair on the toilet seat and the shower looked all grimy and nasty. When I called the front desk to complain, the person who picked up would not let me change my room and kept insisting on sending a maid to clean up the bathroom. This was close to midnight and no way in hell was there going to be a maid who'd clean at that time so I got pissed off and told her that since we didn't even use the room, we were entitled to have our rooms changed.

Everyone's probably sick of all the MJ news out there but it's been so hard in the past week for fans to get any reliable information regarding his funeral. Rumors were the only thing circulating on the internet which has been so frustrating and infuriating because even a lot of credible sources proved to be invalid. Deleted my first post about the now defunct-Neverland memorial because I felt bad about what I said regarding the Jackson family. It's not their fault that so much mis-communication went on the day after MJ's passing.
Stayed at home to watch ABC 7's live report regarding the memorial at Staples Center on Tuesday. Thank god that tickets would not be sold but it's going to be even harder for fans to attain those much prized tickets. Good luck to everyone that applied. If I do get it, I'm going to be so happy but if I don't, c'est la vie. At least I tried.
Apologies to those on my flist who are getting tired of me blathering on about Michael Jackson.

12:30 am - In memory of Michael Jackson..
Been wanting to post this after I heard the news but was in L.A the whole time and could not find the time to sit down and jot down my thoughts...
At three o'clock in the afternoon, I was on my way to Los Angeles and had just turned on my radio when I heard the second to last chorus of "Heal the World". I was surprised to hear this song because it has been years since it was played on that particular radio station. But listening to it again made me remember the warm, fond memories I had of my childhood in Manila, where my class was brought up on stage to sing that song in front of the whole school. As it ended, the announcer came back on and stated, "We have just received devastating news that Michael Jackson has succumbed to cardiac arrest".
'What the fuck', I thought to myself. 'This must be a fucking joke, right?' I immediately changed the radio station to another and the announcer on that station said the same thing. I texted my friend to give her this news because it sounded so bizarre and unreal and when my friend heard it, she told me that she was watching the news and that he hasn't died yet, but he was in critical condition.
( Goddam radio stations playing with my nerve! )

Kids these days may think that the 90's was a time period full of weird fashion and dorky music but let me tells ya, I loved the 90's no matter how lame it was!
90's music was actually really good...but yeah, I can see why some would consider it lame.
For instance, when I was 10 years old, I was in love with that "China Girl" song by Fun Thomas. Does anyone else remember that dorky song??!!! XD Maybe you folks living in Asia will remember that because I do know that there were variations of that particular song sung by different djs. I remember "China Boy" being a bit hit too and "Shalala" by Pookie was played almost every day. Well, I came across both songs on imeem and now I cringe to myself thinking what a foolish kid I was!
Oh yeah, La Bouche was another favorite band of mine and I could have played that damn 'Be My Lover' song almost everyday. And I also remember the thuggish, tomboy look was 'in' for girls, especially middle and high school girls. Now that I think about it, what the hell were we on back then?? Haha.
*sighs* Anyone else wants to be an old foggy and reminisce about the simple and lovely times that were the 90's? LOL.

If I had to choose a movie that never fails to make me cry in the end, it would be "Mississippi Masala" and "Ma Vie en Rose". Since I just spent the last two hours watching Mississippi Masala again, I think I'm going to spend some time reflecting on this movie.
I first watched this movie back in Thailand about eleven years ago and of course since I was still just a kid at that time, the story didn't really affect me until I watched it again in the States. It was a sense of nostalgia and longing that drew me to this movie since it reminded me of home. Also, I remembered that this movie was my first exposure to inter-racial relationships.

Wow, they proved me wrong..though I thought for sure they were gonna pick Betty. Unless this whole thing turns out to be a dream or a really bad joke...those bastards at hq would probably do something like that.
I'm glad he chose Veronica because it was always written in the comics how Archie was head over heels for her. I mean, in most of the comics he was always chasing Veronica and not Betty since she was more of a sister or even a brother to him. Lol.
But you know what, I wouldn't be shocked if the writers at AC twist the plot later on by making Archie leave Veronica for Betty. I wouldn't be shocked at all...
